I love gardening, especially when it comes to herbs, fruits and vegetables. Incorporating fresh food into our family meals is something that cannot be passed up as it saves money and peace of mind knowing that my family is eating fresh food grown in our own backyard. In the heart of summer the sun can be draining so I like to eat foods that put a nice spring in my step, so I like to make Spring Chicken, Strawberry and Blueberry Salad.
Small Space Gardening
The biggest pitfall to growing my own herbs and vegetables is spacing. We have a generous backyard but the biggest issue we have is space. We lived in a few apartments before moving into our home so size has always been a issue and still is an issue for quite a few people I know who love gardening but give it up because they just do not have the right amount of room needed. I was so glad to be contacted by Pennington Vertical Gardening Systems. They offer a great small space solution for creating your own backyard garden (be sure to check back within a week or so on my own vertical gardening system).
All of the parts on the gardening system have been tested for durability and how it will hold up in almost all types of weather conditions.
I love that your can customize the look of your Pennington System and adapt it for use inside and outside the home. You can purchase the Pennington Vertical Garden System and accessories at The Home Depot in select stores across Arizona, California, Georgia and Florida. How to make your own Spring Chicken, Strawberry and Blueberry Salad
Chicken (I like to use chicken leftover from dinner the night before if available)
Annie’s Naturals Lite Dressing Rasberry Vinaigrette
In a bowl add in spring salad mix and top with blueberries, chicken (shredded or cut into strips) and strawberries (cut into halves) top off with Annie’s Naturals Lite Dressing Rasberry Vinaigrette and you have your salad.
