My little guy just started VPK so while he is only gone for 3 hours a day and I am able to take him to the park, I was heartbroken to learn that many of the schools in my area, in an effort to save money, are cutting many after school programs designed to keep kids active and even the time kids had for recess has been cut back if not cut out completely! It’s not just in Florida, but nationwide schools that are suffering from limited resources have cut recess. As parents we know can affect the physical development of our children. What is Rally for Recess?

“Rally for Recess” is designed to create healthy competition, pitting school against school! Five schools have the opportunity to win new playground equipment and an all-day recess celebration.
